catholic patron saints

Catholics are taught to pray directly to God or to Jesus as part of the Triumvirate and Son of the Father. But it does not mean that they are not allowed to pray through intercessors. The Virgin Mary is considered one of the most, if not the most influential intercessors between the living Catholics and Jesus. Prayer requests are most often answered and unending grace are showered on devotees. Aside from the Virgin Mary, there are catholic patron saints who mediate in behalf of loyal disciples.

There are so many catholic patron saints but Catholics have only a handful each of their favorite saints. They claim to have a ‘direct line’ to their favorite saints such that appeals are most often granted. In return, prayers and novenas are regularly made. The saints are celebrated on their feast days with processions, or special masses and special activities. New born babies are also offered to the saints for special guidance and protection.
