acoustic guitar

Play soulful music using a very nice instrument. The acoustic guitar uses only acoustic methods to give off the sound produced by its strings. Old and modern acoustic guitars are different in design and construction. Some of the popular varieties are the classical nylon-stringed guitar, the steel-stringed acoustic guitar, and the lap steel guitar.

The sounds made by an acoustic guitar are produced by the vibration of the strings. But because the strings can only shift a small amount of air, the volume needs to be increased to be heard. This is accomplished by using a soundboard and resonant cavity or the sound box. The sound can be further magnified by using various types of pickups or microphones.
