Easter gifts

Children love to play dress up on two occasions: Christmas and Halloween. But just last April, my kids discovered that getting dressed up for our village’s annual Easter egg hunt was also fun. They joined the Easter egg hunt and collected not only about a dozen eggs, they found other toys as well. These toys were hidden right alongside the Easter eggs. They also received a lot of Easter gifts from their Aunts and Uncles who could not resist giving them candy and toys after seeing them dressed like bunnies.

Easter can also be a time to teach your kids to be creative. Last year, we gave our kids a watercolor set and some brushes. We gave them real hard boiled eggs and taught them how to color eggs. We also showed them how to stick stuff on the egg like ribbons so they can be given away as Easter gifts. They enjoyed it so much that we promised them we’d do it every year.
