We actively celebrate Easter because it is a joyous occasion, similar to Christmas. It is an occasion that has wide participation among children. For obvious reasons, children bring an added dimension to any event. They are always enthusiastic in their clumsy way. They laugh over things that adults would fret about.

It is good to involve children in preparing Easter gift baskets. Shop for little stuffed bunnies, lots of chocolates and other treats. Pick up simple baskets and let them personalize it with bits of ribbons, colored paper and paint. When they are done with the gifts, let them paint the eggs. They will be eager to help, knowing that if the collect enough eggs they will be rewarded with pretty little baskets filled with delicious treats.
