I have always tried to save gift wrappings. Not because I want to use them again but because they all look so pretty I feel bad about throwing them away. It is a pleasant surprise to realize that you can actually use them in an eco-friendly gift wrapping way. One way is to tear them up in small pieces and paste the pieces in ordinary boxes. You will come up with a unique collage of pretty designs.

The best eco-friendly way to wrap a gift is to not wrap it. Use a recyclable basket as your container. Or use a scarf to wrap some fragrant soaps and lotions. There will be nothing to throw away. You double your gift and double the joy.
