Polish kielbasa
In Poland, kielbasa is a word that applies to any sausage made there. This description covers Italian sausage, Spanish Chorizo, German bratwurst, etc. in the Polish language. In the US, Polish kielbasa is known as a Polish Smoked Sausage and it is available in almost every supermarket. However, they are all made different.
Although the Polish government has published guidelines for making Polish kielbasa, people all over the world create their own versions instead of making the original sausage. Polish kielbasa is made of meat, salt, pepper, garlic and the optional marjoram. The meat can either be made of pork or beef and quantity of ingredients may vary according to a cook’s taste.
