Swords have already been in existence for centuries. Ninjas are among the popular warriors in ancient times that used their swords using stabbing motions. Thus, ninja swords are considerably shorter than Samurai swords.

Measuring about 24 inches, a ninja sword is used more effectively by using a sawing motion when the blade comes in contact with an enemy’s flesh. The scabbard is longer by 3 to 4 inches to accommodate the compartment that can hide small weapons like spikes, daggers or small amounts of poisons.
