Our baby boy will turn one next month. Our culture dictates we celebrate his first, seventh and twenty-first birthdays in style. The most important of which is the first. If you only afford to spend lavishly on one birthday, it is the first one. First birthdays in our culture are like a wedding. It entails, more or less, the same cost per head and the same preparations. For my baby’s first birthday, we decided to have a photo party favors to commemorate every month day birthday.

It’s so cool! Our photo party favors starts with his conception ultra sound peanut picture all the way up to his eleven month stand by himself picture. In between pictures are of him being bald to his long unruly hair (another tradition in our culture is not to cut his hair until one). By having photo party favors that showed pictures of his month day birthdays, the guest can see the growth of my son throughout his first year. It’s amazing the changes a baby goes thru during their first year.
