My husband and I have been married for 12 years. I remember the first couple of years; my husband would give me jewelry for my birthday and our anniversary. Then gradually, the gifts became more practical. Then we started telling each other what we wanted to receive, so that took the surprise away. This year we will be celebrating our anniversary apart, he’ll be at a wee long conference out of town and I’ll be home with the kids. We decided we would give each other surprise anniversary gifts.

On our anniversary, I received a gorgeous basket filled with spa products. My husband had written that I needed to pamper myself. I was so surprised and delighted. He said he had searched the internet for a gift basket that he could send to me while he was away. I checked out the site where he bought my gift and saw that they had a more anniversary gifts to choose from. I was so proud of my husband and so touched at his thoughtfulness.
