Anniversaries are very special occasions. They honor the strength and endurance of a couple’s union. Anniversaries should be celebrated with as much pomp and circumstance as we could pull off. For our parents’ 50th anniversary, my siblings and I pulled out all the stops. From the anniversary invitations to the caterers, to the venue and the party favors, we chose only the very best.

My sister came up with the idea that the invitations should reflect the love between our parents. We called the printer and told them what to do and they were able to deliver well. Our parents thought we would only take them out to dinner and a show. Imagine their surprise when they walked into their backyard garden, decorated to look like paradise. My father even joked that they only stayed together so that their kids would give them the anniversary party of their dreams.
